ARTIST STATEMENT

Of every country I’ve visited, I love Italy most of all, and while there, I seek time in lemon groves. where the color and formal beauty of the trees speaks to Italian history and culture. These images express the quiet solitude of Italian lemon groves. Like Vincent van Gogh, I am inspired by how yellow reflects our sun’s warm hues, and and how light plays off the spheres of fruit on the trees.
